Dear All,
We write to invite you to attend our pre-college closing event to honor the students this Friday from 4:00-5:00 p.m. in conference room 140.  We will listen to their closing presentations, present them with their certificates and close with a cupcake reception.
We have a great group of students and the program has been going really well.  Feel free to check out their activities and daily photos at their blog http://patelprecollege.blogspot.com/ .
We hope to see you on Friday. This session was a lot of fun last year!
Best,

Bessie

Digital Photography Recovery

PhotoRec worked and is for FREE !: PC Talk Forum: Digital Photography Review:
PhotoRec worked and is for FREE !
In reply to DavidSvensson, Jan 17, 2012
I used PhotoRec
http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/PhotoRec
This recovered each video file as two separate MOV files, one large followed by one small. The large file is the actual video and sound, while the small file is the header.
To make these two files into a single MOV file (which can be played) in Windows use:
1. Start a console window (Start - Run, then enter "cmd")
2. In the console window go to the correct directory (for example C:, followed by cd directory)
3. Enter the command:
type small.mov big.mov > video.mov
Where small.mov and big.mov are the recovered files, and video.mov is the desired output file.
Alternatively use a hex editor sich as HxD (available for FREE from http://mh-nexus.de/en/hxd/ ) to merge the files.
BTW, make sure to test play the output file before erasing anything.

The Regeneration Roadmap Launches Changing Tack

<![if !vml]>image<![endif]>
Thursday 13th June saw hundreds of people tune in to a public webcast of the launch of Changing Tack, the outcome of months of global engagement on the sustainability agenda. Jo Confino of Guardian Sustainable Business moderated the discussion with senior executives from BMW, Cisco and SC Johnson.
The report forms the final output of The Regeneration Roadmap, an 18-month initiative designed to engage the private sector in advancing sustainable development by improving strategy, increasing credibility and delivering results at greater speed and scale.
On the website now is the full recording of the webcast plus a series of blogs from the project team who have been giving their perspectives and opinion on the outcomes of the report.

SustainAbility and UNEP Release GEO-5 for Business

<![if !vml]>image<![endif]>
Today sees the launch of the most recent collaboration between UNEP and SustainAbility - GEO-5 for Business: Impacts of a Changing Environment on the Corporate Sector.
Using GEO-5 (a 500+ page compilation of environmental data, policy options and scenarios) as its foundation, GEO-5 for Business serves as a primer written specifically for business leaders. While much analysis has been conducted on the impacts of business on the environment, this report looks in the other direction – at the impacts of environmental trends on business.
GEO-5 for Business provides a clear picture of trends and impacts that business leaders across 10 key sectors should focus on, both to mitigate risk and explore new opportunities.
